Texas Instruments TPS784/TPS784-Q1 Ultra-Low Dropout (LDO) Regulator
Texas Instruments TPS784/TPS784-Q1 Ultra-Low Dropout (LDO) Regulator is an adjustable 300mA ultra LDO regulator with a low quiescent current. This device is available in a small 5-pin, 2.9mm x 1.6mm, SOT-23 package and has excellent line and load transient performance. The low output noise and great PSRR performance make this device suitable for power-sensitive analog loads. The Texas Instruments TPS784/TPS784-Q1 is a flexible device for post-regulation because this device supports an input voltage range from 1.65V to 6.0V and offers an adjustable output range of 1.2V to 5.5V.The TPS784/TPS784-Q1 offers a foldback current limit to reduce power dissipation during an overcurrent condition. The EN input helps with the system's power sequencing requirements. The internal soft-start provides a controlled startup, reducing the inrush current and allowing for a small input capacitor to be used. To quickly discharge output loads when disabled, the TPS784/TPS784-Q1 provides an active pulldown circuit. The TPS784-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
