Toshiba Thermoflagger™ Over-Temperature ICs

Toshiba Thermoflagger™ Over-Temperature Detection ICs detect and protect against abnormal heat generation. Thermoflagger is designed to be connected in series with PTC Thermistors placed near heat sources. These ICs work by monitoring the resistance over the thermistors, which increases exponentially when over-temperature is observed. As a result, Thermoflagger will change output states and can be read by external systems, which can take appropriate actions. Various options include a 1µA or 10µA PTC current, latch type, push-pull, and open drain. The 1.6mm x 1.6mm ESV-packaged Thermoflagger ICs offer simple over-temperature protection with low current consumption and are suitable for notebook PCs, mobile equipment, home appliances, and industrial equipment for over-temperature detection.
