Eaton PTR PolyTron™ PTC Devices

Eaton PTR PolyTron™ PTC Devices are 16V, 30V, and 60V radial polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PTC) resettable overcurrent protection devices. The fuses offer fast time-to-trip and low resistance with current ratings from 0.90A to 15A for PTR016V, 0.90A to 9A for PTR030V, and 0.10A to 3.75A for PTR060V. These devices protect sensitive components from overcurrent and overtemperature conditions such as power surges, electrical transients, high ambient temperatures, and more. A special positive coefficient material offers internal resistance that increases exponentially in response to these overcurrent conditions and higher temperatures. Eaton PTR devices ensure a constant uptime in applications where using one-time fuses would be impractical or costly. This includes medical equipment, computers and peripherals, telecommunications, consumer and automotive electronics, rechargeable battery packs, and more.
