Bourns Current Sense Resistors

Bourns High-Powered CSS Current Sense Resistors come in both 2-terminal and 4-terminal options and are manufactured using a metal element. Each family has a range of low resistance options and power ratings of up to 50W with resistance values as low as 0.05mΩ. These resistors detect and convert current to an easily measured voltage that is proportional to the current through the device. Bourns Current Sense Resistors offer high measurement accuracy and cost-effectiveness compared to other technologies.

The 2-terminal models are available in three footprint sizes: 5930, 3920, and 2512 (6332 metric). The 4-terminal design allows for high-precision 4-kelvin resistance measurements. The metal alloy current sensing element allows for low thermal EMF and low TCRs of 50 PPM/°C in a 20°C to +60°C temperature range.
